Suzanne Dhaliwal, speaker for UK Tar Sands Network will present the UK based campaign work against the extraction of oil by BP from the Canadian Tar Sands in Alberta including the links with First Nations struggle to regain control over their land. The Royal Bank of Scotland, which now owns NatWest Bank and is 84% owned by the British tax payer, is a major investor in the vast Tar Sands project which could eventually cover a land mass the size of the England.
